Winery Jan Ulrich

At a glance

The Jan Ulrich winery is a family business and is located directly on the Saxon Wine Trail at the Elbebogen in Diesbar-Seußlitz.

The winery, located on the bend of the Elbe in Diesbar, was founded in 1992 by the married couple Carola and Jan Ulrich. Guests are not only offered a unique wine and landscape experience here, but also a wine bar and guesthouse as well as a varied range of events for their physical well-being and entertainment. The wine is grown on the "Seußlitzer Heinrichsburg" vineyard, which is one of the best sites in Saxony. The combination of a thick layer of loess and clay and an underlying layer of granite gives the wine a unique aroma. 16.5 hectares of vineyards are planted with Goldriesling, Kerner, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Solaris, Johanniter, Kernerling, Souvignier gris, Cabernt blanc, Regent, Domina and Dornfelder. Great importance is attached to the development of natural wines and the cultivation of fungus-tolerant varieties in order to protect the environment by reducing the use of pesticides.

Wine tastings take place and if you have had one glass too many, you can book an overnight stay. :-)
