Dresden presents itself as a congress and conference location at IMEX Frankfurt 2024 from 14 May

Dresden, 8 May 2024. From 14 to 16 May 2024, Dresden will be showcasing itself as a congress and conference location at IMEX Frankfurt, the largest European trade fair for the global meetings, events and incentive industry. "Alongside the IBTM in Barcelona, IMEX Frankfurt is the most important trade fair in congress marketing for us. We have developed a new exhibition stand to present ourselves accordingly and have strong partners at our side with the Bilderberg Bellevue Hotel Dresden, Messe Dresden and the Robot Valley Saxony industry network," says Corinne Miseer, Managing Director of Dresden Marketing GmbH (DMG), Dresden's official umbrella marketing organisation. DMG is thus investing in an important segment for Dresden tourism, as business travellers account for around 35 percent of overnight stays in the Saxon state capital.

More than 7,000 participants from all over the world have accredited for IMEX 2024, including mainly meeting planners on the one hand and providers such as destinations, congress hotels and technology providers on the other. "Our aim is to attract many of the planned congresses, conferences and incentives to Dresden and thus further strengthen the congress and conference location," says Corinne Miseer. To this end, she and her team from Dresden Convention Service will be showcasing the many first-class facets of Dresden as a congress location in Frankfurt 

Service uses Barista Bot from Robot Valley Saxony and a new stand concept to create an eye-catching trade fair presence  "Under the slogan 'Meetings.Moments.Memories', we are promoting the congress location and its outstanding mix of locations, short distances, first-class culture and top expertise in business and science," explains Romana Groß, Head of Congress Marketing at DMG. The Robot Valley Saxony industry network is supporting the Dresden Convention Service team with a barista bot, http://baristabot.de/. The robotic arm will prepare and serve coffee on site at the Dresden IMEX stand. "The Barista Bot is an eye-catcher at our stand and at the same time a concrete example of the innovative strength of Dresden as a centre of business and science," explains Romana Groß. At the best coffee time between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., DMG will also be tempting visitors to the stand with genuine Dresdner Eierschecke.  

After IMEX, a group of seven employees from congress agencies and associations will be visiting Dresden for three days at the invitation of the "Dresden Conventions Bureau" industry network and DMG to get to know Dresden as a congress destination in person. "Anyone who has ever been to Dresden usually comes back to us with a congress, conference or incentive," says Romana Groß.
