Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden reopens with new splendour - just in time for the SemperOperaball and SemperOpenairball
After a year of renovation, the Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden was ceremoniously reopened yesterday. "With the reopening of the Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden, our travel destination Dresden Elbland has been given a real jewel that lovingly respects the history of the city and at the same time sets new standards. For our guests from Germany and abroad, a visit to the Kempinski Dresden will be a highlight of their stay, whether for an overnight stay or to sample the exceptional cuisine. We cordially invite people from Germany and abroad to come and experience the beauty of Dresden Elbland," says Corinne Miseer, Managing Director of Dresden Marketing GmbH (DMG), Dresden's official umbrella marketing organisation.
In addition to the new "Kempi", there are many other highlights for visitors, such as the SemperOperaball with SemperOpenairball on 23 February 2024 as well as year-round experiences to mark the 250th birthday of Caspar David Friedrich and the 125th birthday of Erich Kästner, who was born and grew up in Dresden. Under the motto "History retold" the 18th century building with its historical details has been redesigned with great care and attention to detail, offering comfort and state-of-the-art technology for contemporary, understated luxury. Berlin interior designer Markus Hilzinger has taken up the hotel's historical heritage and created a wonderful symbiosis of history and modern elegance. The newly designed 180 rooms and 31 suites also impress with their elegant design and set new standards for contemporary luxury with sophisticated details. Hand-picked furniture and selected works of art give each room an individual touch, creating an exclusive yet cosy atmosphere.
The redesigned Hotel Taschenbergpalais offers several culinary highlights. The newly designed restaurant "Das Palais" offers a wide selection of local specialities as well as international classics. The newly created "Private Dining Room" is ideal for individual occasions. In the "Kastenmeiers" restaurant, gourmet chef Gerd Kastenmeier provides his guests with refined fish dishes. The maritime offering is complemented by the restaurant's own sushi and oyster bar. With its eye-catching design, cosy alcoves and delicacies created by the in-house patissier, the newly established patisserie "Amalie" invites guests to enjoy and linger all day long.
