The Matyas winery is a family business that lives for its vines and wines. It currently cultivates over eight hectares of vines in the renowned Radebeuler Lößnitz vineyard.
The winery, which was founded in 2000 by Ingeborg and Matyas Probocskai, is now in its second generation of winegrowing. The 8 hectares of vineyards are planted with various red and white grape varieties and are cultivated carefully and in an environmentally friendly manner. Goldriesling, Müller Thurgau, Bacchus, Pinot Blanc, Ruländer, Kerner, Regent and Pinot Noir thrive on the vineyard at the foot of the Friedewald in Coswig. The vineyard is characterized by the rapidly warming granite and syenite weathered soil, which creates optimal conditions for the development of particularly aromatic grapes.
Conscientious care, quality-conscious pruning of the vines and a differentiated grape harvest help the vines to develop their full potential. The work of the family business is also characterized by the combination of tradition and experience with the latest technology and innovative spirit. This is also reflected in the ageing of the wines in the cellar. The combination of state-of-the-art cellar technology with proven traditional methods results in elegant and diverse wines.
The Besenwirtschaft, which is located in the middle of the vineyard, is open from June to October. Here guests can enjoy a glass of delicious wine and snacks. Specialist wine tastings are also available by appointment.
