Ilse- Bähnert Foundation & Tom Pauls Theater

Tom-Pauls-Theater is located in the historic Peter-Ulrich-Haus, which is a listed building. But not only the theater with its varied program, but also the coffee shop is always worth a visit.

Tom Pauls, founder and namesake of the theater, is a well-known actor and cabaret artist who entertains his audiences with political cabaret and musical comedy. With the popular pensioner Ilse Bähnert, he created a character that has since achieved cult status. In 2011, he founded the theater, which is located in the Peter-Ulrich Haus. Whether alone or together with other actors, cabaret artists and musicians - in Tom-Pauls-Theater spectators can experience his humorous entertainment art live on stage.

The program is rounded off by various guest performances. Not only cabaret artists, comedians and actors provide entertainment on stage, but also writers read here, exciting discussion evenings are organized, chamber concerts are held and plays for children are presented.

Visitors can experience a combination of culture and pleasure in Ilse's coffee shop. Visitors are treated to small hot dishes, and regional delicacies or can chat about the play over a glass of wine. The theater also houses a theater shop where theater tickets, books, CDs, DVDs and souvenirs can be purchased.
