The traditional Götze cooperage was founded in 1889 and is active in barrel and vat construction. As a sideline, it runs a small vineyard with wines from the steep slope "Pillnitzer königlicher Weinberg".
Seven generations - one craft. Götze cooperage proudly looks back on more than 125 years of family tradition in which the cooper's craft has been cultivated. The combination of many years of experience with modern processing technology and selected wood qualities results in durable and aesthetically pleasing cooperage products of high practical value. The traditional Götze cooperage offers a wide range of different cooperage products, from barrels for wine production to classic wooden bathtubs and wooden planters.
Guided tours of the workshop are also available by appointment, where visitors can learn more about the cooper's craft in the rustic surroundings of the workshop. Accompanied by the motto "Classic cooperage - wood and wine", the tour is crowned by an expert wine tasting with home-pressed wines matured in decades-old oak barrels.
The wines are grown on steep terraces in the "Pillnitzer Königlicher Weinberg" vineyard. Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Riesling and Müller-Thurgau are grown here on 0.3 hectares.
