The Kunstbibliothek is the central scholarly library of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden (Dresden State Art Collections). Its inventory is geared to the individual museum collections. Along with art-historical literature and Eastern European art literature, artist monographs and exhibition catalogues from all over the world form the core holdings. A large selection of items can be researched on the Internet at www.kunstbibliothek-dresden.de. Conveniently classified according to content-based criteria, the non-lending collection of approximately 150,000 volumes is available for study and research purposes. A further 100,000 volumes from the individual museums' reference libraries can likewise be placed at readers’ disposal for study.
