Kraftwerk Mitte Dresden is an imposing industrial monument from the 19th century. Located in the centre of Dresden, it is a unique location for art, culture and creativity, offering space for innovative ideas and exchange. The building used to be a fossil fuelled combined heat and power plant. After extensive refurbishment, it was opened in 2016 as a cultural venue, primarily for operetta, musical and theatre performances. In addition to the Staatsoperette and the tjg. theatre junge generation, there is much more to discover: from the Stromwerk cultural arena to the music academy and the energy museum - gastronomy, inspiration and modern working environments round off the new cultural location!
