The Kügelgenhaus invites you to experience an era full of inspiration and creativity. In nine atmospheric rooms, you can recreate the lively goings-on of the Kügelgen family and their illustrious guests.

Did you know that in the creative environment of greats such as Gerhard von Kügelgen and Caspar David Friedrich at the beginning of the 19th century, numerous talented female painters left their mark who are often overlooked today?

Gerhard von Kügelgen promoted and taught talented female artists such as Louise Seidler and Caroline Bardua, who even lived in his family for a time. She also had a close relationship with the legendary painter Caspar David Friedrich, whom she portrayed several times.

Let yourself be enchanted by the exhibition, which focuses on the work of ten remarkable women artists. With their salons and works, these women shaped the glorious era of Romanticism in Dresden. A cultural experience you should not miss!
