Classics of music history come to life with the Klazz Brothers in unusual sound garb with witty and whistling arrangements.
"Klazz" - the musicians have given their music (and themselves) this programmatic title - is the musical fusion of classical and jazz.
We know that J.S. Bach, probably the greatest composer of all time, improvised freely and combined notation with spontaneity in addition to his brilliant works. Klazz Brothers take up this idea and take it further into the world of jazz, swing, blues, bossa nova and much more. His works form the basis for arrangements - fixed form on the one hand and room for improvisation on the other. This is why the Klazz Brothers came together in their founding formation with Tobias Forster on piano.
The Klazz Brothers, who have received multiple Echo Klassik, Jazz Awards and Gramm nominations, have made a name for themselves worldwide as a classical crossover ensemble between classical music and jazz with their very own music. With 15 CDs now released by Sony Classical, they have caused a sensation in the music world, also in collaboration with Cuba Percussion. The previously unknown fusion of classical and Cuban music can be found in Classic meets Cuba as well as Mozart, Beethoven, Tango & Christmas meets Cuba.
They have played with various guest soloists such as James Morrison, Roby Lakatos, Maria Markesini and Lou Bega and created orchestral, big band & choral programmes such as Symphonic Salsa, Messiah Superstar and Orff meets Jazz. They have performed over 1000 concerts at venues including the Semperoper, the philharmonics in Munich, Essen, Cologne and Berlin, the Musikvereinssaal in Vienna, Esplanade Singapore, Seoul Arts Centre and Taiwan National Concert Hall. as a soloist with the Dresden & Salzburg Philharmonic, NDR, WDR, BR Radio Orchestras, Taiwan National Symphony Orchestra, Presidential Orchestra Ankara, Kreuzchor Dresden, HR & European Bigband.
Consciously going into the depths and therefore letting the surface sparkle is the art of Klazz...
