Every year we re-experience an indescribable inner longing for Advent.
Bach's Christmas Oratorio is also an integral part of our Saxon Christmas tradition. Bach opens his Christmas Oratorio with a large-scale opening chorus, with timpani and trumpets. As a listener, let yourself be drawn into the actual events of the Christmas story as it is told in recitative, arias, choruses and chorales. The audience is invited to join in and sing along with the chorales at selected points. Rejoice, rejoice!
